The Funeral
A private family wake was held from 23 March 2015 to 24 March 2015 at Sri Temasek, Istana.
The body of the late Mr Lee lay in state at Parliament House from 25 March 2015 to 28 March 2015, for the public to pay their respects. More information about the Lying in State here.
On 29 March 2015, a State Funeral Procession bore the coffin from Parliament House to the National University of Singapore’s University Cultural Centre for the State Funeral Service. It was followed by a private cremation at Mandai Crematorium.
The family respectfully requested no wreaths, flowers or condolence advertisements. Donations received went to Education Fund, NTUC-U Care Fund, Garden City Fund and the community self-help groups.
